About Wiebe Wakker

I’m Wiebe Wakker – an adventurer and inspiring speaker from the Netherlands.

You might know me as the guy who drove an electric car from Amsterdam to Sydney. I covered 95,000 kilometers, crossed 33 countries, and did it all without any money. Along the way, I relied entirely on the kindness of strangers to keep moving forward. The journey took 1,119 days and became the longest electric car trip ever recorded.

What started as a personal challenge turned into a global story about sustainability, resilience, and the power of human connection.

Today, I give keynote presentations around the world, sharing the lessons I’ve learned from life on the road. I speak about topics like:

  • Taking bold steps to create change

  • The importance of collaboration

  • How even the most ambitious goals can be achieved with the right mindset (and a lot of charging stops)
